Obedience training
General obedience training is the process of teaching a dog to understand and reliably respond to basic commands, expectations, and everyday structure. It focuses on essential skills like sit, down, stay, come, leash manners, and polite behavior in the home and around distractions. For puppies, it also includes early socialization, building focus, learning boundaries, and understanding how to navigate the world calmly and confidently.
This foundation helps establish clear communication between dog and owner, creates consistency in behavior, and encourages good decision making in a variety of situations.
